Why do You Have Knee Pain? 🤔

The Cure to Live in Peace...

Hey there,

Did you know that your knee pain might not even be coming from your knee?

Surprising, right?

It's often about something called myofascial trigger points. These are spots in your muscles that can cause a world of hurt.

They're tricky little things, often overlooked in medical education. Traditional imaging like x-rays and MRIs can't even spot them.

So, where do these trigger points hang out? They're usually in the muscles around the knee.

Think of it like this: your knee is a team of muscles, tendons, and bones all working together. If one player is off, the whole team suffers.

The problem is, these trigger points are often left untreated because they're not on the radar of many medical professionals.

But here's the good news: once identified and treated, the results can be life-changing.

I'm talking about going from constant pain to running, hiking, and even squatting pain-free.

Well, there are a couple of ways you can check at home.

One method is self-palpation. It's a fancy term for pressing down on your muscles to find tender spots.

The other method is using a foam roller. This can help you spot areas that are more tender and tight.

Once you find these spots, you can further look into methods of therapy to correct the tender areas.

Some of my favorite are resistance band training, yoga, and physical therapy routines.

Even walking backwards and doing some ankle exercises can go a long way in supporting the bones around your knee, and reducing pain.

But thats for another newsletter to go more into detail about!

Consider reaching out to a physical therapist or doctor and tell them where you are feeling these tender points and they will be able to break down what forms of therapy will help you best!

Remember, this isn't about chasing quick fixes. It's about understanding your body and addressing the root cause of the pain.

So, give these methods a try. Your knees might just thank you!

Keep moving,
